Graduation

Went to Anna's graduation.  Got there plenty early.  Didn't see Anna.  The graduates began to march into the auditorium no Anna.  Wondered what in the world could have happened.  Decided if she wasn't there there really wasn't a reason to stay.

Leah went back over later.  The program was over.  She saw Anna.  Anna asked if David and I had come.  Leah said "no", it was just her.  She said the look on Anna's face was awful.  Leah explained we had been there earlier, but hadn't seen her.

There are so many bad mother days these days, but honestly I think this tops all the rest.  I really wanted to see my "baby" graduate.  I wanted to talk to her.  I feel so terrible.  But there's no going back.  Only forward.  Hopefully there is a way to make it right.
